Privacy Policy for Rhythm

Rhythm ("we", "our", or "us") is a local-first habit tracking app for Android. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and your choices.

1. Information We Collect

Rhythm is designed to work without creating an account.

Account data: We do not require a Rhythm login or profile.
Activity data: Habits, schedules, completions, and streaks are stored locally on your device.
Backup files: If you export data, files are saved where you choose on your device.

2. Purchases and Billing

Rhythm offers a one-time in-app purchase (full_unlock) through Google Play Billing. Purchase processing is handled by Google Play. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

Rhythm stores a local entitlement flag (free or premium) on your device and can query Google Play purchase state to restore your premium unlock.

3. Permissions

Rhythm may request:

Notifications: to send habit reminder notifications you configure.

4. How We Use Information

To provide core app functionality (habit tracking, streaks, reminders, backup/restore).
To enable and restore premium access after purchase.
To keep your settings and preferences on-device.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your local habit data with us because it is stored on your device. Google Play may process limited billing information to complete and validate purchases.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Your Rhythm data remains on your device unless you delete it or uninstall the app.
Exported backup files remain where you saved them until you remove them.
Uninstalling the app removes app-local data, subject to Android backup/restore settings on your device.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical measures for app data storage on-device. No method of storage or transmission is guaranteed to be 100% secure.

8. Children's Privacy

Rhythm is not directed to children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when changes are made.
